Short on Supplies? Join the Tucson Teachers Trading Post:

We are pleased to announce the first three actions in our support of local K – 12 educators:

  • A partnership with the Tucson Regional Education Collaborative (TREC) and a grant of $5,000 to support their Teacher Leaders. This nascent organization is dedicated to the professional development of teachers, administers, and staff in S. Arizona. Find out more on their website.
  • A new community resource called the Tucson Teacher Trading Post – a place where teachers can communicate with each other and make requests of the broader Tucson community. AAUW Tucson Branch was pleased to award $5,000.00 in “wish list” items to make local classrooms more productive and interesting for students. We welcome the nearly 300 educators (and their friends and colleagues) who responded to our Tucson Teacher Trading Post as prospective members and participants in future activities supporting equity for women and girls.

We have exceeded our authorized funding for this project!  Please do not post any more wish lists at this time.  We will examine starting another round in the new year.
